This game of catch, pass and movement works on players’ quickness, high-ball awareness and ability to handle under pressure. You can add lots of variations.
Organise to take a high ball, like a kick-off, and then put the opposition under pressure.
Mark out four 10m boxes, as in the illustration. They should be around 10m apart.
Split players into two teams of three, and put each team into a box. One team kicks or throws to the other and, while the ball is in the air, they run to a designated box. The receiving team catches the ball, and passes it so that each player touches it. The last player kicks or throws the ball into the designated box. Repeat until one team drops the ball inside their box. If a kick or throw goes outside the box, the receiving team picks up the ball and kicks from any point inside their box.
