“Made the same”
Players warm up in different ways depending on their own routines and thought processes. A warm-up buddy who is very similar will help the other player prepare at the same pace but still be prepared himself.
Sharing the motivation
Getting ready together helps maintain a motivation to be properly prepared. They can egg each other on so when you need the players, you know each group will be in the right frame, physically and mentally.
Gentle reminders
Instead of you constantly reminding the players of the proper preparation, the buddies will be able to work together to help each other in this aspect.
Twos or threes?
Three in a group makes a little more sense, because one of the group might be missing for some reason. Any more than four probably becomes unwieldy and difficult to match in terms of make-up.
Using warm-up buddies reduces your input in the individual warm-ups, freeing up much valued time to prepare for the start of the session or game preparations. It motivates the players, supports them and builds cohesion.
