THE STORY

 “The attackers recover ball bounced into the space and then attack. They lose if caught in possession, drop the ball or even worse, let it out of the bigger box.”

SET UP

Cones, a ball.

HOW TO PLAY

  1.  Have two attackers in the corner of the large box, covering a side of each of a smaller box.
  2. A defender throws a ball into the box. It must be from shoulder height or below.

  1. The attackers must recover the ball and beat the defender, who rushes forward after the throw.
  2. The defender wins if the attackers drop the ball or get caught in possession. They win double points if the attackers let the ball go outside the larger box.
  3. If the ball doesn’t bounce inside the box, start again.
  4. Give the defender three goes before swapping players.

DEVELOPMENTS

  • Use different shaped balls.
  • Have the attackers face away and only turn when the defender throws the ball (on your signal).

NUMBERS

  • This is a rapid game. Keep swapping the attackers, but keep the same defender during one round of goes.
  • With six players, set up two boxes.
