Bump and spin triangles

U11–U12 | EVASION 4

Get players beating the first defender with a spin out of contact and then releasing the support runners

  1. Mark out a 5m triangle. Put a defender on each corner of the triangle and three attackers and a feeder opposite one corner. The first attacker starts 1m from the defender in front of him.
  2. When you say “go”, the feeder passes the ball to the first attacker who moves forward and spins away from the defender. The defender tries to grab and hold the attacker.

 Bump and spin triangles

  1. If the attacker succeeds in beating the defender, he then attacks the next defender on the side he has spun out to, using the attackers on his inside and outside to pass to.
  2. Develop by allowing the third defender to move across to support the second defender. The ball carrier can pass, offload in contact or go to ground and be supported.
