Touch Rugby

57 Game and rule variations to engage and inspire
Dan Cottrell

This book will give you a bunch of simple games which are easy to set up and play. And, it will explain the many ways you can play the game to achieve these outcomes.

This is a book about touch rugby. But, beware… there’s still contact. And in some of the games, quite a lot.

These games will always use a rugby ball (apart from one game), all the passes will have to be backwards and there’s a try line to score over. So, we are not going to show you the rules to rugby netball, bulldogs, Aussie rules and so on. All good games, but this is about touch rugby. And it’s not just about “attack”. Touch rugby can encompass all the principles of play, for attack and defence. Plus, it allows you to build competitive environments where your players can display the core values of the game.
